Somers Firefighters Ring the Bell
For the Salvation Army
On Friday, December 18, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Somers Fire and Rescue members stood ringing the bell for the Salvation Army outside the entrance to the Walmart Store, located at 3500 Brumback Boulevard in the Town of Somers.
Undaunted by the cold and blustery weather, the sixteen members and their families managed to collect about $1500.00 for the benefit of the Salvation Army.
The sixteen Fire and Rescue members that helped out during the day included:
